History

The founder of our company was H. de Beer. In 1956, only just 26 years old, he opened his dry cleaning service in the Ruijsdaelstraat in Den Haag. He did this together with his companion mister Boekee, but soon decided to follow his own path. The name of the dry cleaning was then changed to Dry Cleaning Service de Beer.

Business went very well. In fact so well, that the shop was getting too small and he had to expend. In 1968 a huge renovation took place (see the photo). A real family company was born, as the misses and the sons were working very hard with H. de Beer.

In 1978 H. de Beer took a gamble to open a new dry cleaning service, in the brand new shopping mall Babylon in Den Haag. The name of the business was changed to Dry Cleaning Panda. Many colleagues in the branch thought he took a huge risk, opening a dry cleaning service in a

By late September that year it was the opening and it soon turned out, that it was a huge success.

Unfortunately H. de Beer deceased on a much to early age in 1991.

His older son, also named H. de Beer, who had his own business, took over the business of his father.

In 1996 , on a 17 year old age, his son D. de Beer came working for him in the shop. In 2003 the announcement came that the well-known and old shopping mall, had to be renovated. H. de Beer and D. de Beer decided that they needed an extra shop during the renovation.

Right beneath the building of the Ministry of VROM.

On the first of May in 2007 we were forced to leave the shopping mall Babylon. The entire dry cleaning service moved to a shop in Voorburg and the head shop/depot went to the Rijnstraat. Mister H. de Beer stopped working and his and daughter in law took over the entire business. The name changed to Stomerij Panda “First Class Dry Cleaning”. 80% of the costumers now visited the Rijnstraat shop and 10% visited the shop in Voorburg.
